Rowing Club course at Caldecotte is a three weekend course where a complete beginner takes to the sport of rowing both land based and on the water. They will learn the basic skills of rowing on land based ergos and then take to the water in an adaptive sculling boat which are ideal for learning to row.
Games and skills sets help to develop confidence on the water and develop the rowers balance throughout the course.
Activities including core body training and fitness will promote your physical strength and endurance and help you be stable in a boat on the water.
This all round course will teach you more than just the basics of rowing and will enable you to become confident on the water in an adaptive craft and then move you onto a crew boat such as a coxed quad.
Learn to row is a requirement for joining the row club, beginners section of the Caldecotte Xperience rowing team. Once a rower has gained experience and improves to be ready to move on then they can progress to the full rowing club.
